Poetry By Bonnie Hodge
Poetry inspired by my work is a first for me. I don't quite know what to say, other than I am honored. Thank you Bonnie.
I can feel the maniaFlowing in my veinsStarting to rage againThe surging wavesThat propel me to creativityThe frantic energyKeeping me up at nightThoughts and ideas flyingFilling pages from a weary mindHeeding them as incumbentI need to sleep but I can't.
"I need to sleep, but I can't." Spray Paint, Paper, & Gesso On Cardboard 12 x 10 inches. 2018 |
Oh hey, beautiful girlTrouble will find youOh hey, believe itHeartache will unwind youYou've had it beforeAt your feet like a dogAt your shrine like a godIn all forms incited and uninvitedOh hey, beautiful girlThey'll never believe youOh hey, believe itThey'll sooner deceive youYou're a victim todayYou're a victor tomorrowHow fickle their minds areHow supple and shallowOh hey, beautiful girlThe future is yoursOh hey, believe itThe next move is yours
